of sangria and soft-shell crab

It was almost spontaneous and roughly planned. But it was one of the best Valentine's Day I ever had.

We had bought some pizzas, cheesesticks and bbq chicken wings. Laying down the mat, we felt a bit awkward because this was the first time we were going to have a picnic in the Putrajaya park. Brought along a player and let the deep soothing vocals of Josh Groban fill the air. We felt like we were dancing on clouds. With cups of sparkling juice in our hands, we toasted to our friendship and for more good times to come.

Under the starlit skies, we chatted until the park lights started to dim. It was time to pack up and move on.

So moved on, we did, to the Shangri-La hotel to check the place out. It was simple yet elegant. They had a magnificent view of the administrative city from the lobby. We took walks to their indoor garden and must've scared the lovebirds away with our boisterousness.

You know how some restaurants display their food outside to attract patrons? Well, we saw 2 dessert-like servings outside their Mediterranean restaurant. Wondering whether it was real or not, my friend poked at the green ice-cream like thingy.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a waiter appeared and took the food into the restaurant. Looking at each other with aghast, we fled to the nearest lift before he realised something was amiss. We couldn't withhold our laughter wondering whether he took the poked food to serve a love-struck couple or just to get our pesky hands away from the food!

Now, that was something to remember!

ps : In case you're wondering what the title means, it was what I had for lunch :D
